BRAMLEY Beavers: They are the youngest section of the Scout group and are seeking adult support. Volunteers and a leader to run the meetings is needed.
The young people involved are aged between six and eight and usually meet once a week. There is a really enthusiastic group of boys who enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and being very helpful.
If you are interested in helping either short-term or for longer to keep the Beaver colony going, please contact group Scout leader Neil Smith on 880405.
BRAMLEY Summer Fair: In spite of a damp day on June 5, the event took place on the Clift Meadow and was still enjoyed by the many who attended. Expert organiser Julian Boulter thanked everyone who had helped in any way with the huge amount of work involved and those who supported on the day. He commented that forward planning had worked. The wonderful sum of £2,500 was raised.
BRAMLEY Show: Will be held on August 29 in Bramley Village Hall. Staging of exhibits starts at 8.30am and all must be in place for judging by 10.30am. The show will open to the public at 2pm. The prizegiving this year will be done by Miss Priscilla Hungerford. There will be refreshments, an auction of produce and a raffle.
Schedules will be available in the village in July. The show is open to Little London residents and a supply of schedules when ready will be available through Ernie Nobes. There are a few changes to the schedule, so please start preparing now. Contact Anne Porter on 881691.
