TEMPORARY road closure: Cufaude Lane, from its junction with Crockford Lane and its junction with Silchester Road will be closed from June 26 until July 16.

Notwithstanding the aforementioned, the closure should only take five days). The reason for closure is that maintenance works are being, or are proposed to be, executed on, or near the road.

The suggested alternative route is via Crockford Lane, Lime Tree Way, Crockford Lane, A33, Bramley Road, Sherfield Road and The Street or by this route reversed.

CHINEHAM Village Club: This coming Saturday, the club is holding a Family Night in the lounge bar. Entertainment will start at 7.30pm.

Don't forget that the club also holds Sunday evening poker sessions: The first session runs from 7pm, the second from 8.30pm. The cost is £2.50 per session. Weekly and monthly cash prizes are to be won and experts and beginners alike are invited to join.

MOBILE library: The bus full of books will be in Chineham tomorrow.

As usual, it will be parked in Farm View Drive between 1.15pm and 2.15pm.
