DAMP but determined: The stalwarts of the Rotherwick Tennis Club played gamely on in the drizzle ultimately afflicting the annual tournament last Saturday afternoon, but eventually retired with honour after three hours, the first time the fixture has been rained off in over 30 years! Enough games were played, however, to crown Charles James and Barbara Platt as Rotherwick Gentleman and Lady Tennis Champions for 2015. The Wills family put in a particularly fine showing in their first appearance, and special mention for young Oliver, who at 12 years was our youngest player.

We hope we’ll be seeing more of them on the court next season!

RUMBLE in the jumble: Help our village schoolkids out by supporting the Whitewater School PTA’s first-ever jumble sale this Saturday, in the school hall, starting at 2pm. Donations will be gratefully received in the morning. Light refreshments available. Further information on 762637.
