MEMORIAL Hall refurbishment: The building sub-committee has met several times in recent weeks and have been putting together a two-year plan which will hopefully see new heating, lighting and repainting.
DATE for the diary: Ladies’ Club visit to Jenkyn Place Vineyard, Bentley on Saturday, September 19; tour starts at 2pm. This is open to members and guests. The cost is £7.50 per person.
HARVEST Festival: Will be taking place in St Martin’s Church on Sunday, September 27.
SCARECROW Festival: Is due to return for its second year to coincide with the Basingstoke Half Marathon on October 2 and 3. Judging is from noon.
BLACKBERRIES: This season’s crop is just about ready for picking so hopefully the bank holiday weather will allow a good walk along our country lanes.
PARISH Council meeting: Following the summer break, Ellisfield Parish Council meets again on Monday, September 7, in the Memorial Hall.
