CONGRATULATIONS to youngsters in the village who receive GCSE results yesterday and those who received A level results last Thursday, an exciting time and decisions to be made about further and higher education.
HOSPICE funds were raised by a total of £800 for St Michael’s Hospice by last month’s Ellisfield Ladies 40th Anniversary Concert at Home Farm Barn, Farleigh, with The Belles of St Martin’s choir and the Heritage Light Orchestra led by Neil Streeter.
The Belles have recently been invited to join the Basingstoke Festival of Choirs (BFOC) to perform at Festival Place in aid of the mayor’s charities on Saturday, December 5, and hopefully will participate in the celebrations of the Queen’s 90th birthday at The Anvil on July 10 next year.
GIN(G)EFEST: Following the success of last year’s Scoobyfest in Wield; Ellisfield resident Andy Swanston and his band AnswerBack will be playing along with many other local bands on Saturday, August 22, from 4pm. This is by invitation only, please contact Andy for more information.
