CHURCH teas: Teas will continue each Sunday and over the bank holiday weekend from 2pm to 5pm.
FOOTBALL pitch: Now reseeded and growing quite well. Thanks to the parish council following other good work on the cricket outfield.
SILCHESTER Association: Welcomes villagers to a Picnic on the Common on August 31. Bring your own picnic from noon to 4pm.
There will be a bar and live music from Frixion, from The Hurst Community College. Classic cars and vintage motor bikes will be on show. To join in any part of the displays or the ‘open mic’ music, please contact silchester.org.
A BEER Festival will be taking place on September 12. Tickets now on sale at The Calleva Arms and Jay’s Stores, Pamber Heath.
