VOLUNTEERS Awards: Celebrations were held at the Ridgeway Community Centre last week, following the presentation of volunteers awards from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
Ali Sheridan, chair of BWCA, who manages the centre, was awarded a long service award for five plus years for volunteering at the mother, toddler and baby groups, held on a Tuesdays and Thursday, 10am to noon.
Buckskin and Worting Community Association were also awarded a special award to acknowledge their 15 years of enthusiastic, dedicated service.
ANNIVERSARY celebration: To celebrate the Ridgeway Community Centre and BWCA’s 15th anniversary, an annual celebration is being held on August 15, from noon.
There will be a mix of live music, barbecue, table-top sale, costing £5 per table, cream teas from the Cosy Corner Café, homemade cakes, local fire brigade and lots more.
