SOLFOLK: Sherfield’s Folk Day was on Saturday. Alan Ball says: “We had glorious weather. The festival started at 11am with a parade of Morris dancers and then there were concerts from 1pm until 6pm in the hall. They were all brilliant, including Kara and Perkelt. About 100 people were watching the concerts in the hall. There was street entertainment outside and Morris dancing and lots of good food. The day was rounded off with a Ceilidh in the evening to Diatonics.”
BASINGSTOKE Concert Band: Will be performing at the village hall this coming Saturday, for their summer concert and BBQ at 6pm.
Tickets are £12, to include an American-themed barbecue.
Please bring your own chairs and drinks. Tickets from 07503 881241.
SHERFEST: Is on Saturday from noon until 8pm, with an All American theme: live music, barbecue and hog roast, real ale, children’s games and activities, sports and loads more. It’s all happening at Sherfield Park Community Centre.
