BUCKSKIN and Worting Community Association: A celebration was held at this year’s association’s AGM. There was a change in chairman, as Gay Gower said farewell to the committee, and Jenny Pugsley stood down as secretary, although staying as a trustee. Three new trustees were elected alongside the four existing trustees.
The AGM was for the year 2013/2014 when flooding caused great disruption to the community. The Ridgeway Centre opened its doors for respite and cups of tea. Thank you certificates were presented to the volunteers who gave up their time during those uncertain days.
To celebrate BWCA and Ridgeway Community Centre’s 15th anniversary, Thank You certificates were presented to volunteers who support groups Ravers and Toddler and Babies sessions and to those people who volunteer their time to support the centre and its activities.
Finally, the BWCA Community Award had a short list of three nominees; third place Raymond Dobing, second place Dan, the litter-picker, and the winner, Linda Warner, nominated for her tireless, consistent dedicated service to the community.
