WINE Walk: This evening – all Ellisfield residents and friends are invited to set out and travel around the village in eight or more wines. (sorry you did read that correctly eight or more not eighty-four wines!)
This year we have Southern Hemisphere theme, inspired by the Rugby World Cup; as you enjoy a glass or more of wine you will be transported to New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Argentina.
This year’s hosts, along Green Lane, are Caroline and Bernard Cazenove (Brocas/NZ), Sue and Phil Self (Honeysuckle Barn/AUS), Ali and Andy Swanston (Oak Hill/SA), and at the top of Collage Lane, Dee and Richard Haas (The Walled Garden/ARG). There are maps on village notice boards to help you find your way and there will be a fun quiz en route with a fabulous prize to be won! Donations per glass: £2.50 (all proceeds in aid of the Memorial Hall).
