KEMPSHOTT WI: The next meeting of the WI will take place at 2.30pm on Monday at Kempshott Village Hall. As this is their ‘birthday’ meeting and a special celebration, attendance is restricted to members and invited guests.

The WI plays an active role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to learn new skills and take part in a wide range of activities. With over 6,500 WIs in the UK catering for different ages and interests they would be delighted to welcome you as a new member.

Since 1915 when the first WI was formed, members have played an active role in campaigning, raising awareness on such diverse topics as world poverty, climate change and the decline of the honey bee. Many of the early WI members had been suffragettes and it is to those women we should all give thanks to the freedoms women have today in their own lives. In this, their 100th year, they would love you to join them.
