COUNTRYSIDE Day for Schools: Last Thursday, Portsmouth Estates became an outdoor classroom for the day as pupils from South View Junior School, Manor Field Junior School and Bentley Primary School put on their wellies and spent the day learning about the working countryside. This has been an annual fixture for 10 years and has enabled almost 2,000 children to have a better understanding of the working countryside . Activities were led by staff and volunteers covering topics like woodland management and cheese production.

FARLEIGH Wallop Jubilee Commemoration Raft Race: Was as much fun as ever last Saturday. Overall winners were Sam Wyckens and Will Cheney, with Rose Taplin and Julia Ayscough first time overall winners in 2001 and now Ladies winners for 2015. This was a fabulous family fun day with MC Jeremy Tibble orchestrating the welly wanging, egg throwing and obstacle race.

Lord Portsmouth presented the prizes including a Formula One-style Constructors Prize to TJ Smith for their fabulous raft\the Wally Roger.
