GARDENING Club: Tonight, members and friends of the Gardening Club are invited to hear horticultural speaker, broadcaster and gardening consultant Geoff Hawkins’ illustrated talk What’s going on in the garden? He will discuss using materials from the garden at this time of year and how to get the best out of them.
CALLING all Ellisfield residents: Do go along to the Memorial Hall tomorrow at 8pm for the Annual Parish Meeting. It’s not a parish council meeting, although chaired by the parish council chairman, who, following the recent election, will be elected prior to the meeting. Representatives of village organisations will be there to report happenings in the past 12 months and planned future events. New residents are welcome, and delicious refreshments will be served after the meeting.
SPRINGWATCH: No need to stray far from Ellisfield and Farleigh to view spectacular wildlife. Many may have seen the amazing sight of more than a dozen red kites circling the fields as the first silage was cut – just magnificent!
