LAST Friday’s breakfast, in aid of Christian Aid, held in St Mary’s Church Hall, went very well with someone being dispatched to Sainsbury’s for more supplies (bacon, sausages, etc).

WELL done: To Sam Jenkins and Charlie Saunders, who skydived 15,000 ft for charity and have raised over £5,000 for the Brain Tumour Charity.

This charity is close to their hearts as a close family member has been diagnosed.

TREACLE Fair: On Saturday evening, the Treacle Fair, at Saunders Field, opposite Lloyds Bank, starts with a Picnic Proms at 4pm, then on Sunday, the main event starts 11am to 5pm, with arena events, trade and charity stalls, an array of places to eat and drink, as well as the large marquee with crafts, and also the usual funfair.

This year there are four golden tickets up for grabs which will give the lucky winner a family ticket for up to four people. The tickets allow free entry into the fair plus free fairground rides and free food.
