CHURCH Service: This Saturday, St Leonard’s service is Holy Communion at 6pm, and Sunday, from 4.30pm to 6pm, the village hall hosts Messy Church.

I’M NOTORIOUSLY lax about remembering to file copy on bank holiday Mondays, so I’ll also mention next Thursday’s Horticultural Society’s lecture entitled What’s Going On In The Garden? The meeting takes place on May 28 at the village hall from 7.45pm.

SUMMER Play: Tickets are now selling nicely for the Cliddesden Players’ summer play. A farcical romp by Ray Cooney. It Runs In The Family promises to offer the usual hilarity and confusion (both genuine and theatrical), so get your tickets while you can. Evening performances on Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20. Tickets are £9 for adults and £5 under-16s, from Angie on 475848.
