VIENNESE Evening: A great success, and added to the bell fund with a good amount.
GARDEN open: At West Silchester Hall, the home of painters Jenny and Jonathan Saville. May 24 and 25 from 2pm to 6pm. Plants on sale. Admission £4, children free. There will also be art work on sale.
SILCHESTER Fete: Will be held on the playing field on Saturday, June 20. There will be a parade of super heroes and princesses to start the afternoon off. This note should give young (and not so young) a chance to prepare their costumes!
METHODIST Cream Teas: Will start on Sunday, June 7 and each Sunday throughout the month, from 3pm to 5pm. There will also be plants and crafts to purchase.
TRAFFIC survey: After the recent house-to-house survey, our parish council will look at suggestions that have been made for traffic calming in Silchester. If anyone wishes to comment further, please contact the clerk@silchester.org.
