RESULTS of last Thursday’s elections: Our duly elected Member of Parliament is Ranil Jayawardena, (Conservative), our borough councillor is Mark Ruffell (Conservative), and the six Ellisfield residents elected to form the parish council are; Caroline Cazenove, Tim Guinness, Gavin Park Weir, David Richards, Rose Taplin and Julian Wright.
PARISH Council: The first meeting of the parish council following the elections is scheduled for next Monday, 7.30pm, at Ellisfield Memorial Hall. It will be conducted by a temporary chairman. A new chairman will be appointed at the Annual Parish Meeting scheduled for May 29, at 8pm.
HORTICULTURAL Society Plant Sale: This Sunday, from 1pm, in the gardens at the Jolly Farmer, Cliddesden.
AGM: Monday, 7.30pm, at Memorial Hall, Ellisfield. Village residents welcome to ask questions and make suggestions in regards to the running of the Memorial Hall and the organising of village events.
