ON YER bike ... or lace up those boots made for walkin’! The Whitewater School PTA needs your support this Saturday, to raise money for Cancer Research UK and school funds. They are sponsoring a two-mile walk or five-mile cycle ride around our beautiful spring countryside starting from their own front door!
The last PTA fundraising event, the pub quiz last month, raised £300 for the school, and we all know someone touched by the invidious finger of cancer, so do join in for a fun family morning out. For further information, please ring the school on 762637.
TIME flies...when you’re having fun: It’s that time of year again, when the parish council invites all villagers to attend its annual general meeting in the village hall next Wednesday. Highlight of the meeting will be the opportunity to thank our parish clerk, Karyn Reid, for her years of sterling service and support. Stay in touch – We’ll miss you!
Applications for her replacement are being sifted through even as we speak, so watch this space.
