LAST week’s coffee morning at the Salvation Army went very well with lots attending.
Likewise, the plant sale at The Hurst Community College was also was very busy and again lots attended.
SPRING Fayre in aid of Christian Aid: Takes place on Saturday, at St Michael’s Church, Bishopswood Road, where there will be lots of fun, which will include toys, plants, Traidcraft, tombola, face-painting, cream teas, cakes and lots more. If wet there will be a change of venue it will be held along the road in St Mary’s Church in their hall.
CONGRATULATIONS: To Ali and his family, who opened a new venture called “Kremes” which is an eatery specialising in ice cream sundaes, crepes, waffles, as well hot food and coffees. This is in the old computer shop, in Franklin Avenue.
LIVE music: This Sunday, at 3pm, at the William Penney Theatre, AWE Rec Soc, there is live music spanning the decades with Nick Martin on an electric organ. Admission on the door is £6.50.
