COME one, come all: Rotherwick Parish Council would like to invite all residents for wine and nibbles at its annual meeting next Wednesday, at 7pm in the village hall.

Find out what has been going on in the community over the past 12 months and what is being planned for the future.

VICAR vacancy vanquished: The Reverend Marion de Quidt was welcomed with a full congregation at her licensing service last week in St John’s, Hook, when she was inducted as priest-incharge of the Whitewater Benefice by the Bishop of Basingstoke.

She is settling into the vicarage next door, so do stop by and wish her well.

FOR whom the bell tolls: Listen out on Sunday for another WW1 Centenary as we remember village lad Albert Tubb, who was born in Rotherwick in 1891.

He enlisted in 1911 and eventually shipped out to Gallipoli where he survived a devastating fire on the SS River Clyde, only to be killed the next day on the attempt to move inland, April 26, 1915. We will remember him.
