ONCE again: All the churches in Oakley are uniting tomorrow, Good Friday, to walk and pray together on this very significant day.

They are meeting at 10am at St John’s Garden of Remembrance and walking along St John’s Piece, Hill Road, and down to the Methodist Church by the Pond at about 11.15am, where they will have a short time of worship and prayer around the cross. They invite you all to join them at any point of the walk or at the pond for the final act of worship. The Methodist Church will be open for prayer from 10am if you would prefer not to come on the walk, with refreshment after the short service.

EASTER events: The Fox is open all day Saturday and Sunday, and invites families along to take part in an Easter egg hunt and quiz. On Easter Monday, 1.30pm to 4pm, Wootton House, at Wooton St Lawrence, will have the daffodil garden open. Entrance £1 – pick your own daffodils for 2p each, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
