LAUNCH of improved Basingstoke market: Saturday, April 4, promises the launch of an improved Basingstoke market at The Top of The Town.
Enhancements include artisan bread, plants and shrubs, fashion clothing and pet goods.
The following two days, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, from 10.30am, see the Top of The Town “Chocolate Factory Easter Weekend” in Market Place and London Street.
Free activities include the Great Easter Balloon Show, Easter Egg Trail, vintage and hand-made Easter market, sweet design and biscuit making, storytelling sessions and a chance to see baby chicks, rabbits and ducklings at the “Story of the Egg” farm.
BROOKVALE Community Association’s next monthly coffee mornings: Take place at Brookvale Village Hall on Saturday, April 11, and Saturday, May 10, from 10am to noon.
The association advertises these as an opportunity to “chat, ask, moan, get all the news and give your views” but also to join in planting of the community garden and find out about Brookvale in Bloom.
