GARDEN Club: Pamela Holt was the guest speaker at Sherfield and District Gardening Club’s March meeting.
John says: “Pamela Holt gave us an entertaining talk on ‘Hardy Annuals’ and chipped in with stories of her travels abroad. It was our best turnout of the year so far, with 41 people attending. Our members enjoyed it and, as always, it was an entertaining evening.
“At our April meeting, on Monday, April 20, is a regular speaker with us, Roy Broughton. The meeting starts at 7.45pm, in the Liddell Hall.”
HAPPY Faces: The annual Happy Faces Easter Egg Hunt will take place this year on Good Friday, April 3, from 10am until 12.30pm, with the last hunt at 11.30am.
There will be an Easter Bonnet competition, crafts, face-painting, and refreshments will also be available.
TICKETS: Are now on sale for Loddon Players’ spring production, Lucky Sods, by John Godber.
Performances are in the village hall, starting at 7.45pm, on April 16, 17 and 18.
