AGM: Ellisfield Ladies dispensed with the business efficiently, with Maggie Heath in the chair. It saw a review of last year and thanks to those who had organised events, a summary of pretty healthy finances and then some plans for the coming year and then some serious socialising. ROCK’n’roll: Quite a few Ellisfield and Farleigh residents ‘rockedover’ to Cliddesden last Saturday evening to dance the night away to the music of ‘The Rokkits’. Thanks to those who organised such an enjoyable evening – it was marvellous to see almost everyone on the dance floor.
GLAM Rock: At the Farleigh Club on Saturday, May 2, is the next opportunity to put on your dancing shoes – so put the date in your diary – just the thing for a bank holiday weekend.
HORTICULTURAL Society meeting: Next Wednesday, 7.45pm, at Ellisfield Memorial Hall, is a talk by Thomas Stone on the subject of Plants for the Small Garden.
