HAVE Your Say for The Warren: The council is running the annual “Have Your Say”

funding competition whereby local community groups can pitch for funding and residents vote on their favourite projects.

The Warren youth wing, at the community centre, lost out by four votes last year. To vote, you need to visit Carnival Hall, next Thursday, March 26, between 3pm and 7pm.

If the Warren bid is successful, the money will be used to improve the outside patio area.

HATCH Warren WI: The ladies of the WI have their next meeting on Thursday, April 2, at the community centre. The speaker for the evening will be talking about hats and fascinators. The meeting starts at 8pm. New members and visitors are welcome.

TREE planting: Local volunteers, MP Maria Miller, and Hatch Warren and Beggarwood councillors Rebecca Bean, Dan Putty, and myself, joined together with Sainsbury’s and Old Down and Beggarwood Wildlife Group to help with tree planting in Beggarwood Park on Sunday. The trees will form an extension to the tree belt behind Pets at Home.
