KEMPSHOTT History Group: The next meeting will take place at Kempshott Village Hall on Friday, March 6, at 2.30pm. The speaker will be Ernest Watton, who will be talking about his career in electricity generation and supply in Basingstoke and how the power supply came to Kempshott after the Second World War.
KEMPSHOTT Conservation Group: Will be holding their next working party on Sunday, when they will be meeting at 10am, in the Down Grange meadow (behind St Mark’s Church). Bing your own gloves.
OLD Down and Beggarwood Conservation Group: Continues to meet at Old Down Hall, every Thursday, 10am to noon.
FUZZY Drove: A number of Kempshott residents, supported by the council, have formed a conservation group with the objective of preserving this ancient route, maintaining trees, hedgerows and wildlife for the benefit of all. Work has been on hold recently whilst they conduct a survey to seek public opinion on the plans.
Please visit fuzzydrove.co.uk, then click on survey. They are particularly keen to hear from those residents that share a boundary with the Drove.
