SOMETHING new: A Zumba class has started at the village hall on a Thursday, from 7pm-8pm.
Kim says: “The first Zumba class is free, it’s then a pay-as-you-go £6, or if you buy a block of 10 it’s £5 a time. The card is signed off each time you attend, so there is no issue that if you miss a week you lose your session.”
NWR (National Women’s Register): Gill says: ‘Our favourite things’ was our last meeting. Some of the things members said included pleasant smells, new buds and spring flowers, a hot bath, a lovely scarf and hat, furry winter boots, a peat fire, cold frosty mornings, roast dinners, a roaring fire and long walks with the dog.
“There were also more personal things and one member said that she treasured her husband’s credit card!”
LODDON Players: Very many congratulations to Phil Lewis, who produced a great Murder Mystery Evening on Valentine’s Day with a cast from Loddon Players.
Sally says: “Phil Lewis and the guys gave us a wonderful evening’s entertainment. We really enjoyed ourselves.”
