TESCO application: Tesco have dropped their application for a new superstore at the old Smiths Industries site near Brighton Hill Roundabout.
Part of the application included changes to the roundabout to improve traffic flow. It seems, therefore, that these changes are now less likely to go ahead.
WHAT Wine Quiz: The popular What Wine Quiz is back at the community centre next month. Tickets are on sale now and cost £15.
Ticket price includes entry to the quiz, tasting wines and a cheese platter. There will also be a cash bar available.
The event takes place on the evening of February 7. Further details and tickets are available from the community centre on 01256 811262.
SECOND-HAND clothing event: Also at the community centre, taking place on Saturday, January 31, from 10am, there will be a second-hand clothing and accessories sale.
Come along to browse through stalls and racks of clothes, shoes, bags etc, and pick up some great bargains.
