CONGESTION news: Plans to improve the traffic problems that plague the Fiveways junction and adjacent areas in Old Basing will soon be coming out for consultation from the Highways Agency. Let’s hope they will make life safer for motorists and pedestrians alike.
CHILDREN'S Society: Collecting boxes getting rather full? Rosemary Kershaw would be pleased if you could bring yours to St Mary’s Church this Sunday, but if this isn’t possible, please telephone her on 355500 to arrange collection.
ST MARY’S Church 100 Club: Chris Beadle tells me that they now have some more numbers available for the chance to win £100 each month, so contact him on 358533. Also, a reminder there are a few team spaces available at this Saturday’s quiz night and he has the £5 tickets.
COFFEE Break: This is held monthly, on the second Friday, at the Methodist Church, between 10.30am and noon. Some superb cakes were on the table when I popped in last week, and you really don’t need to feel a stranger with the welcome on offer.
