ALLOTMENT Feasibility Study: Basingstoke council is looking to increase provision of allotments to cope with increasing demand.
They are currently scoping five potential sites, two of which are in Hatch Warren and Beggarwood. Of the five possible sites, three will be chosen. The site in Hatch Warren is on part of the open space at Chatsworth Green, and the Beggarwood site is on part of Beggarwood Park.
Residents living close to both areas have been contacted by the council to canvass their views, but if anyone would like to express an opinion I am happy to pass your views on directly to council. Email terrielizabethreid@gmail.com.
CHRISTINGLE Service: A Christingle service will take place this Sunday, at Immanuel Church from 3pm. The service will be in the Church Centre, St Mark’s School.
LOCAL Plan: The government inspector is visiting Basingstoke this week to consider the Local Plan. Hatch Warren and Beggarwood could be on the edge of several large-scale developments according to the plan.
