HERE we come a-wassailing: Keep an ear out for the Hook Choral Society this week as they get out and about with seasonal sing-songs for charity.

This Saturday, from 2.30pm, they will be at the new Serendipity Garden Centre, between Rotherwick and Hook, and next Thursday night, December 18, it’s the Christmas Carol Pub Crawl around the villages.

The fun usually gets under way at about 8pm, when the singers can be found at The Falcon, and they will end up at the Crooked Billet. Grab a Santa hat and come along!

SPICE is nice: Congratulations to the Hook Tandoori on retaining their title of Best Spice Restaurant in the South East at the British Curry Awards in London. Now in its tenth year, the restaurant received nearly 210,000 nominations from local diners voting for their favourite Indian restaurant.

Well done to chef Abdur, manager Mitra, and the team!

TREES after Andy! For all who miss the Priors Farm Christmas trees, be advised that West Green Farm up the road has taken on the same supplier.
