A MASSIVE thank-you: To all those who supported the Oakley Fireworks, who volunteered and sponsored fireworks.
Our biggest sponsors were Stratus Cars, Matthew J Wise Financial Planners, The Fox, Oakley, and Deane Parish Council, and The Village Show commitee, and last but not least, the Oakley Community Association, who organised the event!
OAKLEY Act of Remembrance: Will be held at St John’s Garden of Remembrance (site where St John’s Church used to be) at 10.45am on Sunday.
It is the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War and the 70th anniversary of D-Day in the Second World War. It is also the 10th Act of Remembrance since the parish council restarted it in Oakley in 2005. It would be great to have a large turnout for this important ceremony.
FANCY having a go at coppicing?: This coming Saturday, you can join Oakley Woodlands Group, at Cowdown Copse, between 10am and 1pm, so why not come and support the work of the group and find out what is involved?
