Volunteers clearing litter in Glebe Gardens
On Saturday, a team of 20 volunteers turned out to clear litter in Glebe Gardens, in the centre of Basingsoke The Friends of Loddon Vale Parks were joined by 12 staff from Tesco in the town centre.
October 18 was Keep Britain Tidy's national Big Tidy Up Day, and volunteers found 12 sacks of rubbish - including two jackets and a parking bollard!
Tesco also provided welcome refreshments, and there are plans to repeat the day next year.
