CHARITY cuppa: Come one, come all to the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning today!
Join us with Lee, Kate and the team at The Falcon between 9am and noon, for coffee, cakes and chat in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. There will be a raffle and a cake stall – further donations of goodies gratefully received. Macmillan nurses help cancer patients receive care and support in their own homes, and we all know someone who is grateful. All proceeds will go to Macmillan.
PEARL anniversary: Happy 30th birthday to the annual Rotherwick Gift Fair, which is taking place next Tuesday, from 9am to 4pm in the village hall. Entrance is £4, and over the years has raised over £500,000 for local charities, including The Rainbow Trust since 2005. The fair has come a long way since Meri Benham held the first one in her house down Stroud’s Green Lane, a huge success despite shoppers’ cars needing towing out of ditches due to the appalling weather. Bring your friends and join us for lunch, but please park considerately.
