MACMILLAN Coffee Morning: Today, at the community centre, Newchurch Road, from 10.30am-12.30pm. There is also a coffee morning at The Ambassador Club, Hangar Road, from 10am-noon, where there will be book and cake stalls and a raffle. All are welcome at both events and it’s for a worthy cause.
PROTEUS Theatre: Also today, starting at 7.30pm, at the community centre, Proteus Theatre presents 12.10.15. a one woman show in which a contemporary female war correspondent tells the story of Edith Cavell. Tickets from the community centre cost £5.50 for non-members, £4.50 for members.
WORLD War One Memorial Exhibition: This will commemorate the 31 men listed on Tadley War Memorial. Other displays include the History of Tadley War Memorial, World War One Theatres of War, National and Local Time-line, and individual displays from Pamber, Monk Sherborne and Sherborne St John together with local schools The Hurst Community College, The Priory Primary and Bramley Primary Schools.
The Tadley and District History Society’s exhibition is on Saturday, from 10am until 4pm, at Tadley Community Centre, Newchurch Road. Admission is free.
