CHANGES to Beggarwood Post Office: Are being considered for the post office in the Co-op at Beggarwood. If the changes go ahead, the old-style separate counter would be replaced by a till on the retail counter.

This would mean that services would be available all day including Saturdays and Sundays, but a few services such as on demand travel insurance would no longer be offered there. The changes are not likely to happen until the autumn.

DIGESTER news: This week, there have been some further reports from residents of sightings of traffic which may have been on the way to the digester but were using the wrong route. I’m happy to pass on concerns, or they can be logged directly with Tamar at basingstoke@tamar-energy.com.

BUGS and Butterflies event: Old Down and Beggarwood Wildlife group are holding an event on Old Down on Saturday, August 23, from 2pm.
