ST LUKE'S Church: On Monday, St Luke's Church will be holding a Day of Remembrance for the anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War, along with other churches in the country.

There will be a service of Thanksgiving and Peace at 10am, to remember all those involved with or who lost their lives. Following the service, the church will be open until 4pm.

There will be a display of information about the Pamber men who died in the conflict along with other memorabilia. PAMBER Heath Short-Mat Bowls Club: Is based at Pamber Heath Memorial Hall. It meets twice a week off season (Mondays, 7pm; Wednesdays, 1.45pm) and three times a week in season. New members of all ages are welcome. Contact Tony or me on 0118 9700754.
