SUMMER Street dance classes: At the newly-extended Brookvale Village Hall, in Lower Brook Street. The 40-minute sessions take place on Wednesdays, from July 30 through to August 27, at 12.30pm, for those finishing school years R, 1 and 2, and 1.15pm, for those finishing years 3-6. SUMMER entertainment: Continuing a great summer of outdoor events, is the Basingstoke Top of The Town Vintage Stalls and Creative Fun Day. Featuring a family treasure hunt, arts and crafts and free activities at the Market Place. The fun takes place from 10am to 3pm on July 31.
BRITAIN had Talent: At Basingstoke Discovery Centre, at 2pm, on Saturday, August 30 – a talk by Oliver Double on the history of variety theatre. Booking is recommended via 01256 478670 – entry £3.
HALLOWE’EN Party: Brookvale Community Association has just announced the date for its Family Hallowe’en Party – scheduled for 7pm on October 25.
