CAN-CAN dancers: Added the ‘ooh la la!’ to last Saturday’s Moulin Rouge-themed Summer Ball at Home Farm Barn, Farleigh. Congratulations to Emily Taplin and all who arranged this event, which raised more than £1,000 for Sebastian’s Action Trust at North Waltham and The Farleigh Club.
VINTAGE-style tea: Was also a great success, thanks to Suzanne Light and friends who raised more than £600 for Naomi House Children’s Hospice.
MEMORIAL Service: On Saturday, 11am, at St Martin’s Church, for Sally Adams. Many will remember Sally, who kept her parents’ cottage, Wyckens, as a weekend retreat and played an active part in village life, as parish councillor and writing Ellisfield and Farleigh Community News.
ELLISFIELD weekend: Croquet at Brocas, from 2pm-4pm, on Saturday, and Doubles Tennis Tournament with the final at Brocas. To play contact Tim Guinness (381348), Tea at 3pm, with Pimms, and wine later to watch the finals. Fellowship Family Service at St Martin’s, 11am, with a BBQ at Memorial Hall, Sunday.
