CHURCH Teas: In the parish church each Saturday and Sunday, from 2pm-5pm, continuing into September and, in the Methodist Church, this coming Sunday, from 3pm to 5.30pm.
LIVING Paintings: Congratulations from Silchester on their 25th anniversary. This charity, describes paintings for the blind, both adults and children, was started by Alison Oldland, from her home at Silchester House.
MORRIS Men from Yateley: Will be at the Calleva Arms on Tuesday, from 8pm. Note that the Summer Christmas Party is now cancelled.
CONGRATULATIONS: To Sandi Smithers on her Enormous Elephant Run, which has raised almost £1,000 for the Sheldrick Trust to save orphan elephants in Kenya.
VILLAGE Hall: Many folk came for tea and cakes and to look around the completed hall. The Mayor and Mayoress were there to cut the cake and draw the raffle.
