CLIDDESDEN WI: Met yesterday, at the village hall. Terri Reid gave a talk entitled ‘The 1940s Housewife’, and the competition was ‘Make Do And Mend’.
SUMMER play: The Cliddesden Players’ Summer Play is finally upon us!
Laugh? I Nearly Went To Miami! by Miles Tredinnick features a highly entertaining cast of characters, stumbling their variously idiotic ways through confusion and misunderstanding in this neat farce.
Tickets are still available from Angie Fewster on 475848 at £8.50 for adults and £5 for under-16s.
The performances at the village hall begin at 8pm on Friday and Saturday.
Saturday’s performance will be preceded by the ever-popular (optional) family barbecue which takes place from 6pm to 7.15pm – tickets for this are still a mere £3.
Do come along and support this local event if you can – it’s a huge fundraiser for the village hall, and we will do our very best, as always, to entertain you in style.
