CELEBRATION: Belles of St Martin’s celebrated at The Fox last Wednesday, following their participation in Basingstoke Festival of Choirs at The Anvil last Sunday.

It was an opportunity to properly thank Neil Streeter for all his training and guidance, schooling choir members to a standard where we could sing confidently alongside more experienced choirs. Jenny Outen wrote a song ‘Thank-You Neil’ which The Belles sang before supper (to the tune of ‘Little Donkey!’ There were also flowers and champagne for Theresa for her inspiration and coaching and Celia for her dedicated organisation of the now infamous ‘Font Bar!’

WOODPECKERS: Are the subject of the next talk for Horticultural Society members and friends – 7.45pm next Thursday, at Cliddesden’s Millennium Hall.
