CANTEMUS concert: In the parish church on Saturday, at 7.30pm. Music by British composers and some readings also. Tickets £8, include a glass of wine. This group come to us from Newbury. Tickets from 0118 9700825, or pay at the door.
ROMAN dig: Open daily (except Fridays) until August 16. One of the main open days is Saturday, July 26, 10am to 6pm.
OPEN Garden: Sunday, at West Silchester Hall, from 2pm to 6pm.
Teas available. Includes an exhibition of paintings. Admission £3.50, children free.
PTA Quiz: In the Calleva Arms on Monday, starting at 7.30pm. Details from the school.
VILLAGE Tea Party: Sunday, July 20, from 2.30pm. Everyone is invited to celebrate the newly improved village hall. Tea and cake will be served. The Mayor and Mayoress of Basingstoke will visit and draw raffle prizes.
DIG Supper and Barn Dance: On August 2, this will be the last dig supper and also marks the retirement of Professor Michael Fulford.
CREAM teas: At the Methodist Church each Sunday, 3pm to 5pm, and at the Parish Church, Saturday and Sunday, 2pm to 5pm.
