PARISH Council: At the meeting, on June 11, the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council playground inspection reports were noted.
The current financial situation was noted. Other recommendations considered included the leisure and facilities committee to allow Loddon Sports full use of the football pitches and pavilion for the season 2014/2015 and the co-option/election of a new council member for the Taylor’s Farm vacancy.
CONGRATULATIONS: Four members of Loddon Players travelled to Eastbourne to receive an Accolade of Excellence for Drama 2013 for the district, for Habeas Corpus at the National Operatic and Dramatic Association AGM last weekend. Director Phil Lewis said: “This is the first time I’ve won anything and I’m very proud for the group”.
NWR: Forty-six members of Sherfield NWR, Bramley NWR and friends enjoyed an evening trip along the Basingstoke Canal on the John Pinkerton II. Gill says: “We enjoyed a fish and chips supper from the Barlow Mow.”
