WRITE back: Apologies for the absence of a column for two weeks. We were attending our son Simon’s wedding in the French Alps, which was very enjoyable and memorable.

BISHOPSWOOD School Summer Fete: Is taking place on Saturday, from noon to 3pm, with all the usual stalls.

INDOOR Car Boot Sale: Is being held at the community centre on Saturday, from 10am. Entrance is 20p. All are welcome.

FILM screening: Also on Saturday, at the community centre, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is being shown. The cost is £4.50 for members and £5.50 for non-members. Doors open 6.30pm and film starts at 7pm.

MINI Market: On Saturday, from 10.30am at St Paul’s Church, on The Green, in aid of church funds.

TADLEY Town Council: A full council meeting is being held on Monday, at 7.30pm. If you have a council-related matter you wish to speak about, the public forum is near the start of the meeting. All are welcome to come along. Don’t forget – all councillors are up for election next year.
