BELLES of St Martin’s: Continue to practise ahead of The Basingstoke Festival of Choirs at The Anvil on Sunday, July 6.

Last week, the choir rehearsed with the Basing Singers and this Sunday all choirs come together for the first full joint rehearsal.

PARISH Council: Meets on Monday, at 7.30pm in Ellisfield Memorial Hall; as always, copies of the agenda can be found on village noticeboards.

Raoul Tufnell, development and planning manager for Belectric Solar Ltd, has been invited to attend and explain more about the plans for the proposed solar farm on the site adjacent to the Farleigh crossroads, and answer any questions or concerns raised by village residents. Belectric intend to make a planning application this summer to Basingstoke and Deane to construct and operate a 19MW solar farm on a 52 hectare (128 acres) at Manor Farm, Farleigh Wallop.

ART – Heaven: Once again, the exhibition of art work by students of Mary Thomas Art Classes and pupils of Cliddesden Primary School was an inspiration – wonderful talent on display.
