COMPETITION for gardening club members: Entries should be from gardens within the three villages of Ellisfield, Farleigh Wallop and Cliddesden. New entrants to this competition are welcome.
Entry forms can be handed to any committee member or emailed to willow.ms@btinternet.com by Saturday, scheduled for judging on Monday, but may take place on the following day if the weather is inclement.
ART exhibition: Artwork by students of Mary Thomas Art Classes and also pupils of Cliddesden Primary School will be on show this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 11am-4pm, at Cliddesden Village Hall. Some work will be for sale.
WINE walk: Last Friday evening, more than 60 people toured the lanes of Ellisfield in search of refreshment, only to find they were wandering the Eurozone!
However, everyone joined in with enthusiasm, raising more than £300 (nearly €400). We were richly rewarded with Italian wine and nibbles at Bell Lodge, Portuguese refreshments at Upper Common Cottage, and French-style at Highwood.
