COUNCILLORS’ surgery: The next South Ham/Berg Estate Councillors’ Surgery will be held today, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm at Westside Community Centre, in Paddock Road. If you require advice on housing, benefits, anti-social behaviour issues, social services, educational matters etc, just call in – no appointment is needed.
SOUTH Ham Churches Lunch Club: The local churches run a lunch club fortnightly, on the second and fourth Friday of the month. It is held at St Joseph’s Church, St Michael’s Road, from 12.30pm to 2pm. The meal costs £3.50, and must be pre-booked by contacting 323595. The next Lunch Club is on Friday, June 27.
WESTSIDE Senior Citizens Club (55- plus): The club meets at Westside Community Centre, every Wednesday, between 2pm and 3.45pm, and enjoys activities like skittles, bingo and quizzes. They also organise day trips. Annual subs are £4.50 and a weekly charge of 50p. Contact Nicky on 464571.
QUIT Smoking Clinic: The NHS quit4life stop smoking clinics run at Westside Community Centre on Mondays, from 9am to 10.30am, and on Wednesdays from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
