CHARITY Wheelchair Treasure Hunt: The Basingstoke Roll is a charity wheelchair treasure hunt to raise disability awareness, taking place at the Top of The Town on Saturday, June 21, from 10am to 2pm.
Team entry is available by contacting Basingstoke Mencap on 423886, with funds going to local Mencap and Basingstoke and District Disability Forum.
There are prizes for the best dressed wheelchair and wheelchairs are also provided alongside stalls, games and family fun.
BASINGSTOKE Festival: Takes place from Friday, June 20 to Sunday, July 13.
A particular local feature is Top Hat Weekend on July 5 and 6, when local musicians and entertainers will perform at ‘busk stops’ throughout central Basingstoke and compete for awards and cash prizes. To take part, register by Friday, June 13, at basingstokefestival.co.uk.
COACH trip: Tickets are still available for Brookvale Community Association’s August bank holiday coach trip to Gloucester Quays. Call 0741 2074477 to book. This will be a great day out with convenient departure from the village hall, in Lower Brook Street.
