ELECTIONS: Today is, of course, election day. The Chineham Ward has five candidates to choose from: Grainger – UKIP, Hall – Liberal Democrat Focus team, Miller – Conservative, Pierce – Labour, Romney – Independent.

ACTIVITIES at Chineham Library: On Saturday, 10.30am to 11.30am, the “Crime Reading Group” meets. On Wednesday, from 2pm to 3.30pm, there will be a knit and craft session. Ask a member of staff for further details, or email chineham.library@

CHRIST Church activities: There will be a quiet reflective service of Holy Communion at 11am next Tuesday, followed by lunch at noon. People are welcome to attend either or both! Lunch costs £4 for adults and £2 for children – just turn up, no need to book. All welcome. If you have any special dietary needs please let the church know in advance.

ADVANCED notice: Friends of Four Lanes Schools’ Summer Fete will be on Saturday, June 28. A great day, bringing families and the local community together.
